Position: Healthy Living and Aquatics Director
Branch Location: 1127 N Avalon Blvd., Wilmington, CA 90744
Salary Range: $39,500-43,000 annually; full-time, salaried position with benefits including 10% paid retirement upon eligibility.
Required Criteria for Candidates:
- Must possess a minimum of 1-3 experience working in a Healthy Living or Aquatics supervisory position
- YMCA or ARC Lifeguard certification; CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Administering Emergency Oxygen, and First Aid (certifications must be current at time of hire)
- YMCA of the USA Pool Operator on Location (POOL) or Certified Pool Operator (CPO) - Must pass LA County CPO test within three months; must pass a water skills test and written exam (certifications must be current or obtained within 3 months); YMCA or ARC Lifeguard instructor certification is preferred, but not required
- Strength and Conditioning Healthy Lifestyles or equivalent; YMCA Personal Training Instructor; ACE, AFAA, ACSM or NSCA Group Exercise Certifications required within 90 days of hire
- Speak, read, and write fluently in English and Spanish
- Bachelor's Degree in physical education or kinesiology preferred
- Knowledge of principles of techniques of successful health living and aquatic program development, management & implementation
- Ability to work with and interact with a diverse group of people
- Must possess strong organization and management skills
- Physical mobility to properly use aquatic equipment to rescue 200lb. person

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
