This job will end March 31, 2019
Develop career and vocational/ college-related resources for youth participants
Works individually with youth to develop career plans
Works in conjunction with program staff, especially instructors to ensure program success
Develops individualized service place for vocational training and permanent housing
Develop individualized career plans for students
Develop presentations and materials that inform students of regional academic and vocational programming.
Present workshops on Job readiness skills including resume preparation, interview etiquette, and professional demeanor
Other duties assigned
Must have a Bachelor's degree or a 2 years of relevant work experience providing vocational or career training especially for youth
Experience with working with runaway and homeless youth
Effective written and oral communications skills with people from varied backgrounds
Proven working knowledge of Microsoft Office; ability to learn and use program-specific software
Valid California driver's license and access to dependable transportation with adequate insurance
Must be able to pass a background check

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
